POSITION:  Athletic Event Organizer (Spring)

LOCATION:  Madras High School

CLOSING DATE:  February 3, 2025

START DATE: February 28, 2025

STIPEND: $4393.75-$6558.63 per season

 

The Athletic Event Organizer will help to provide a safe, well organized event for student athletes and event attendees, and to provide support as directed by the Athletic Director.

 

Responsibilities:

• Check on gym/field set-up and assure that the game area is ready for play
• Assist with set up of scoreboards, clocks, and public address systems.
• Ensure all field lines and markings are complete and accurate before each game 
• Coordinate activities with maintenance and grounds personnel
• Welcome and assist officials and visiting teams as necessary
• Monitor and assist in the management of fans
• Enforce district regulations and guidelines
• Assist with and coordinate the tear-down of game areas
• Ensure all equipment related to each sports event is properly accounted for and in proper condition
• Assure all ticket sellers and ticket takers are in place and have cash boxes
• If directed, be responsible for gate and concessions deposits

Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate properly and effectively
• Great time management skills
• Knowledge of the various sports
• Knowledge of district regulations and guidelines for each event
• Ability to work in a positive way with students, parents, and community members
• Great organizational skills
• Ability to lift, move, and set up event equipment
• Must have a current First Aid/CPR/AED card, or ability to obtain one prior to first sports event
