WAGES:   $22.91 - $28.32 / hour                     Benefited


GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision the LME Electrician responsibilities include but are not limited to keeping the electrical services in each of the District's buildings in excellent, safe and functional repair.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (Not necessary limited to)




Changing and installing light fixtures and ballasts; adding to and/or repairing existing electrical systems; apparatus and electrical and electronic components; installing wiring in the networking of computers and printers; and fixing and repairing the electric motors controlling the heating and air handling mechanics in the district represent the majority of the duties of the district's electrician.


Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.


Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.


Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Machine Repairer and Maintenance Tool Maker, to diagnose malfunction.


Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.


Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.


Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.


Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.


Other duties as assigned.
