POSITION SUMMARY
This position transports students by Type 10 / Type 20 vehicle (mini bus or SUV) in a safe and professional manner. Areas covered include Madras, Prineville, Redmond, and Bend.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE (Minimum Qualifications)
All drivers or others employed or employed in that capacity must:

  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstates ability to perform the duties and responsibilites as described within this job description
  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Hold a valid Type 10 or Type 20 Certificate - or have ability to obtain

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working as a school bus driver in a k-12 environment.
  • Experience working in a driver position in a non-school industry.
  • The ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR card.
  • Bilingual Spanish

COMPENSATION

  • Wage Schedule: $21.99-27.86/hr
  • Work days: 179 (10 month)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life Insurance, AD&D, Long term disability included (Optional insurances available)
  • Personal days, sick days
  • JCSD 509-J pays the employee's share (6%) of the Public Employees Retirement System Contribution
