POSITION SUMMARY
The major responsibility of PLC facilitator is to lead effective Professional Learning Community teams and serve as a member of the schools guiding coalition working together to continuously increase learning for all students. PLC leaders are teachers who lead a grade level, subject area, or intervention team. These teams make informed decisions about instruction based on research and the analysis of student work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Current JCSD Employee
• Minimum of three years classroom teaching experience.
• Demonstrated record of effectiveness in personal professional teaching practice resulting in student academic growth.
• Completion of district PLC learning opportunities.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.
• Demonstrated reputation for having Optimism (non-negative thinking) in our quest to increase learning for all students. In short, a “yes we can attitude” is required.
• Demonstrated record of Honesty and the ability to focus in situations we as a staff can control when seeking to increase learning for all students, versus those challenges (poverty, lack of resources from the home, lack of academic foundation for students) we cannot control.
• Demonstrated commitment to working and assisting other adults in our schools reach their fullest potential as professionals.
