POSITION SUMMARY
The Transportation Supervisor oversees all talent and management functions for the transportation department, including, but not limited to bus fleet management and maintenance, routing and scheduling of special services for regular, special and alternative programs. Under general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Transportation Supervisor organizes, coordinates and reviews the performance of transportation staff in the safe and timely transportation of District students and personnel. Sound judgment is required for the efficient management of transportation and support personnel, managing special requests and coordinating the availability of District vehicles. The Supervisor maintains continuous contact with other departments, school leadership and families.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience working in a comparable position.
  • Must have at least four years experience in a supervisory position.
  • At least five (5) years of transportation management and/or related experience.
  • Valid Oregon Bus Driver Certificate (requires CDL).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least five (5) years of transportation management in a public school k-12 setting.
  • Bilingual Spanish.
