LOCATION: Warm Springs K-8 Academy

START DATE: September, 2019
HOURS: 5.75 hours / day
STARTING WAGE: $13.77 / hour
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
At the direction of building administrator, assists teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being. Duties involve working with students individually and in small groups assessing performance, reinforcing instruction, motivation learning, assisting with classroom management, clerical, and other non-instructional work.

QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must be “Highly Qualified” (See Below)
- Collaborative team player and positive attitude
- Experience working with students preferred
To be “Highly Qualified”, an Educational Assistant requires a high school diploma or the equivalent, and one of the following:
- An Associate's degree
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education - 72 credit hours
- Passed the District Assessment for educational assistants in the areas of reading, writing, math and pedagogy
