Jefferson County School District is seeking Educational Assistants I & II to substitute as needed during the 2019-2020 school year.

LOCATION:  Various Schools within Jefferson County School District 509J              

WAGES: Educational Assistant I - $13.50 / hour

              Educational Assistant II - $14.20 / hour                         

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: At the direction of the building administrator, the Educational Assistant assists teachers and Special Education Teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being.  Duties may involve working with students individually and in small groups, reinforcing instruction, motivating learning, assisting students with disabilities, with behavior management, and other non-instructional work.

QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

• High School Diploma or GED
• Desire to work with students of all ages
• Ability to relate to and appreciate students by inspiring a love of learning
