Jefferson County School District is seeking Substitute Bus drivers to fill in as needed during the 2018-2019 school year.  We are willing to train the right candidates.

CLOSING DATE:  This posting is for the 2018 - 2019 school year.  Applicants will be contacted as needed. 

STARTING WAGES: $16.68 / HOUR

HOURS PER DAY: Varies 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Oregon Driver's license.
• Must be eligible for an Oregon Bus Driver Certificate and have a good driving record.
• Must be willing to train to receive Bus Driver Certificate.
• Certification of good health signed by licensed physician.
• Obtain First aid/CPR card within 120 days of employment.
• Drivers who have a current Bus Driver Certificate and/or CDL will be given preference.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Jefferson County School District is seeking Substitute School Bus Drivers to substitute as needed during the school year. Under general supervision, operates a school bus in transporting children to and from schools.  Employees in this class are responsible for following an assigned route and schedule in the safe and efficient operation of a school bus.  Ability to read and write, communicate orally, understand and carry out written and oral instructions, maintain effective control over groups of children, and work harmoniously with children and others, Ability to drive any size or type of school bus in the fleet
