WAGES: $16.11 - $21.76/ hour (Full Benefits)
HOURS: 8 hours / day (12 month position)
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Under direction, performs varied and responsible office and secretarial work for administrators and staff at the department level. Employees exercise considerable initiative, independence and judgment by anticipating requirements of administrator and staff for information, assembling information for reports coming due, tracking events or situations to keep administrator and staff informed, and in performing their assigned duties.
Employee must have good working knowledge of business English, spelling, arithmetic, and modern office practices, procedures, good understanding of school office operations, and area and central office organization. Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures and the ability to apply these to work problems; ability to maintain clerical records and prepare reports; ability to work effectively with the community, administrative and instructional staff, school employees and the central office staff. Proficient in MS Office software and working knowledge of office equipment. Good human relations and communications skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains a regular filing system for the administrator.

Maintains a schedule of events and makes arrangements for meetings and conferences, as assigned.

Compiles budget information and prepares materials for expenditures, as assigned.

Attends building meetings, takes and transcribes minutes, prepares and distributes materials, as assigned.
|
5.

Handles paperwork as requested.
|
6.
|
Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive and smoothly-run office.
|
7.
|
Receives and routes all incoming calls and records messages.
|
8.
|
Maintains appropriate accounting records.
|
9.
|
Assist with administrative and clerical support for the District Office.
|
10.
|
Follows daily assignment of the building administrator(s).
|
11.
|
Welcomes, assists, in a warm, friendly manner, all students, parents, staff or visitors to the office or the same regarding telephone calls.
|
12.
|
Maintains confidentiality in all school matters.
|
13.
|
Know and comply with all relevant policies.
|
14.
|
Type and proofread correspondence for Administrators as requested.
|
15.
|
Be an appropriate role model for staff and students in every possible way.

16.

Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
