Jefferson County School District is seeking Substitute Custodians to substitute as needed during the 2016-2017 school year.
CLOSING DATE: This posting is for the 2016 - 2017 school year. Applicants will be contacted to interview on an as-needed basis.
LOCATION: Various Schools within Jefferson County School District 509J
SALARY: $14.73/ hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Custodial experience preferred
- Good attitude, good work ethic, and willing to learn
- Participation and successful completion in district sponsored in-service and training related to this position.
- After a conditional offer of employment has been extended to the applicant, a pre-employment physical shall be required.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Employee performs routine cleaning of school facilities including floors, walls, doors, restrooms, walkways, entrances and furniture; monitors the building for damage, participates and/or recommends preventive maintenance measures to supervisor. Employee should have knowledge of methods, materials, and practices used in building cleaning and sanitization work, and the proper use and care of mops, brooms, scrubbing brushes, waxing machines, and related equipment and a working knowledge of the safe efficient procedures for operating required tools of the job. Additional maintenance skills preferred.
